Naldi
Hi, I'm Naldi Witterland. My passion is playing the guitar. At a young age I started doing that and my role models are my father and my uncles. They taught me the difficult chords and solos from magnitudes of their time namely: Les Paul, Chet Atkins, Django Reinhardt. My father and uncles taught me how I must be functionally present in a band. This I think is my strength over the years that I've developed more. And that trend is still going on.
I have chosen to develop me in various musical styles. From Abba to Zappa, just to say. Because of this I became a highly demanded session musician for both top 100 bands, jazz combos and studio work. My preference is quite jazz fusion. The last few years I became acquainted with a friend of mine and came in contact with the music that I've inherited ... at home .... Country music! The guitar play of Brent Mason, Vince Gill and others really appeals to me and got me there playful in depth. And I must say that my jazz background plays a big positive role in it. This methodology is very wide and country music shows the many musical colors.
But ... ... where can you find musicians that play country in the broadest sense too? In recent years I become knowing many musicians who worked and / or remain in the country scene. With a number of musicians that I entered into talks it has resulted that I've become the new lead guitarist of the newly formed band "Tea for Texas".
Country music then is not as it is today. It speaks to me that this type of country music will be played by Tea for Texas and therefore do what other bands do not. My experience in different types of music is therefore a very welcome support for the music we want to play. The individual class of the musicians brings up the power of the collective and we want to convey that to the public. Tea for Texas's motto is therefore: "Fun is what makes us play” and I want to make my contribution to it.
I feel like and so I hope that we, combined with our musical experiences, may continue lots of years for some Tea for Texas wants to do for the audience: More than Country Music
Musical greetings,

Naldi
